Business Development Manager The Company Our client is a global market research company and provider of industry specific market intelligence and reports with a presence across the UK, Europe, Asia, and the US. They provide market intelligence data to the world's top executives, decision makers and organisations to assist them in making informed and intelligent business decisions. The Role The ideal candidate has solution sales experience and uses a consultative selling approach to acquiring new accounts. You will fit the hunter sales profile and not be afraid to make cold calls to find prospects. Once you acquire a new account you will own it for the life of your employment with the organisation. As the product you are selling is a 12 month subscription you will also be paid for and subsequent annual renewals. The majority of sales are closed over the phone with remote demonstrations and presentations being conducted using remote conferencing technology such as Go To Meeting and TeamViewer. The sales value ranges from $3-$100K, so experience closing high value sales over the phone is a must. Skills & Experience Minimum 1-2 years market intelligence, information, media, B2B, or conference/event sales experience Must be driven, confident, self motivated and determined Proven track record of achieving monthly and quarterly revenue targets Experiecne selling a solution with a consultative sales style Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills Excellent time management and organisational skills Proven ability in targeting new business opportunities through cold calling Experience closing high value sales over the phone Must be resilient, results driven and hungry for success Culture & Benefits A rewarding and supportive working environment with excellent career scope for the right candidates.
