I hope you all had a wonderful & safe New Year's Eve!
Ours was pretty low key....my parents had offered to keep the kids for us, so we decided to go out to dinner & catch a movie. Dinner was delicious, but we were bummed to find out that the movie theater was closed due to the projection of bad weather. We ended up stopping by Redbox on the way home, rented a couple of movies & spent the rest of the evening on the couch, in our p.j.'s.....not a bad night if you ask me! :)

Some of you may know that my birthday was just a couple weeks back. With my birthday & Christmas falling so close together, I usually have a small surplus of cash to spend. Some of that money goes towards things that I need or want for the house (I've bought a few things for our master bedroom that I hope to share with you soon), but because I also love clothes, I usually end up spending a good amount of my birthday/Christmas cash on a new winter wardrobe! So, I thought I would take a minute today to share with you a few new items that I recently added to my closet if that's okay with y'all?!
I found this cute chevron top at Rue 21 a few weeks back.....
It was a steal at just $19.99 and I just love how it fits! I liked it so well, that I also bought another one in a different color combination! :) It's sheer, so I have been wearing it with a white tank underneath and pairing it with my skinny jeans & boots. The boots are also a new addition to my wardrobe. I bought them at Target & I absolutely LOVE them!

This one is a pink & gray plaid. The combination of the colors & the sheer fabric give this shirt such a cute, feminine feel. It's definitely one of my favorites to wear!

I'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of obsessed!! I have a total of 5 in my closet right now.....it's a little crazy! I'm seriously gonna have to walk away the next time I see one that catches my eye!
